Trip to New Zealand (Good news for a great day!)

Assalamualaikum w.b.t...

waaa...did u guys heard the news?? yup...saya dapat this "important Announcement" that AirAsia X will be suspending their flights to or from Christchurch..a very good news for me (^___^) smile peeps~ hahaha tQ AA...but we dont take this to seriously sebab..we will change our route to Australia!!.. isn't that great!! (ayat ambik hati ok!!) hahaha 'again'...so now kami dalam perbincangan untuk terbang kemana nanti, Gold coast or Sydney ataupun melbourne? decide later.. kos dari Kuala lumpur ke salah satu destinasi di Australia ni dah settle, AA akan transfer duit..cuma tambahan kos pergi balik Australia - Nz, Nz - Australia je lagi..ape boleh buat..ade jgk plan nak stay kat Sydney or Gold coast untuk 2 hari, itupun InsyaAllah..mintak2 semuanya ok2 belaka..Aminn

Subject: Important Announcement! AirAsia X Christchurch, New Zealand Route Suspension. 

Dear Guest, 

Please be informed that effective from 1st June 2012, AirAsia X will be suspending our flights to/from Christchurch. 

We will be sending individual notifications to all guests affected by this suspension, in stages, based on your respective flight dates, via email and SMS. 

The email notices will also outline the various service recovery options offered which are: 

i. cancel your reservation and opt for Full Refund/Credit Shell; or 

ii. move to any of our other operating flights from/to Christchurch, before the 1st June 2012*; or 

iii. reroute your flights from/to Christchurch to/from an AirAsia X port in Australia (Sydney, Gold Coast or Melbourne) to Kuala Lumpur# or any other AirAsia X destinations. 

Please take note alternative arrangements has to be made on your own for the trans-Tasman travel.

In order to avoid undue congestion and delays in replying to your queries, we request that you contact us in relation to any queries you may have, only after you have received your individual notice.

***Important Notice:*** 

For Option iii) 

Guest who choose to transfer their Christchurch-Kuala Lumpur flights to an AirAsia X service Australia-Kuala Lumpur (Sydney, Melbourne or Gold Coast)or vice versa will need to make their own arrangements and payments for trans-Tasman travel. 

For guests who have purchased domestic flights within New Zealand to connect with AirAsia X’s suspended Christchurch services, Air New Zealand and Jetstar will allow AirAsia X guests to transfer the payment made for the domestic flight to a trans-Tasman fare. There will be a call centre fee per person per segment for this service and fare difference if applicable.

(Example: A guest who paid for a return domestic flight from Auckland to Christchurch to fly with AirAsia X, who transfers their AirAsia X ticket to the Sydney-Kuala Lumpur service, can transfer the domestic payment towards a flight from Auckland to Sydney to connect to the AirAsia X service.)

To arrange this transfer, guest will need to contact the Air New Zealand or Jetstar call centre, verify connecting travel on AirAsia X, and arrange for their domestic flight to be transferred to a trans-Tasman flight (and pay any fare difference and the contact service fee). 

Guests opting for Jetstar will need to contact Jetstar before 26 March, 2012 with the above details.

Before booking trans-Tasman travel please consult airline timetables to ensure your flight to Australia provides time to complete customs and immigration, pick up any bags and check-in at AirAsia X for your flight to Kuala Lumpur (and vice-versa for the return flight from Kuala Lumpur to Australia and returning to New Zealand). A transfer time of at least 4 hours is recommended but please note that neither AirAsia X nor the trans-Tasman carrier can be held accountable for any missed connections.

Planning and Budget for trip to New Zealand 2012.(part3)

so this is my part 3 research and plan for trip to New Zealand 2012, lets begin guys..to all readers, if u had any ideas u can share with me, just text on the chat box, and please correct me if im wrong..tQ (^___^)v. just a plan katenya..

gambar on the top tu is my personal map yg dah bertampal orange sticker tu bermaksud tempat2 yang saya dah pergi@melawat, besar sungguh bumi Allah, Alhamdulillah sebab diberi peluang olehNya untuk melawat segala macam tempat, merasai segala macam musim dan jumpa dengan pelbagai kaum dan sifat2 manusia yg berlainan bangsa, agama dan negara..Our next trip ni peta die cinonet je, betul2 dekat sebelah @ bawah dari peta Australia tu..tanya Mr.Google kalau nk tengok :) so lets start..

This is South Island Map of New Zealand, so sy dah study about tempat2 yang menarik, berapa kilometer dari one place to another, berapa lama@masa dan berapa jam yang diambil dan sebagainya..and this is the result~

Dari Airport malaysia to christchurch Internatinal airport ni mengambil masa dalam 9 to 11 hours and its is 8896.45 km= 5528 miles..dan bila dah sampai je dekat South Island of New Zealand ni, kita boleh drive disepanjang 10 hari (hari yang sy n wife ambik utk bercuti) Christchurch ~ Te Anau and Te Anau ~ Christchurch...ataupun drive dari christchurch, drop dr 1 tempat (menginap utk 1 atau 2 malam) then sampai di END ROAD kat Te Anau, patah balik ke Queenstown and kat situ ambik local flight to christchurch, so xpayah la nak drive to Chrtch. 2 option given (that's my plan)

On the map tu, ade dua guide LINE, 1 is RED and 1 is BLACK, so warna hitam tu is our road trip nanti insyaAllah...merah tu, road trip untuk "budak2 muda @ single mingle" jer tuk 10 hari boleh sapu satu map. tapi setiap perjalanan dari satu tempat ke satu tempat = 3 jam perjalanan, tido malam, esok kene bangun pagi2, gerak lagi 3 jam tuk next place..uiiiii....xlarat la kowt~ hehe (-___-!!)

so tempat2 yang sangat menarik untuk dilawati semuanya bertapak kat Queenstown..kat situ lah ade ladang buah segar(Cromwell), puzzling world(Arrowtown), naik gondola(Queenstown) dan macam2 lagi..

ok, nak cerita step by step perjalanan kami nanti dan skali kos untuk perbelanjaan(secara kasar) kat sana nanti..

This is option 1, map ni menunjukkan yang kami akan drive disepanjang perjalanan nanti from start to end road dan patah balik to start point..so my plan is, bila sampai je nanti kat Christchurch tu kami akan bermalam 1 malam..

bangun pagi seawal jam 7 then breakfast dulu, after that mulakan perjalanan ke Lake Tekapo, perjalanan mengambil masa selama lebih kurang 3 jam, kami akan berada di Lake Tekapo ni selama 3 hari 2 malam, aktiviti kat sini is kami akan pergi ke Lake Pukaki, Twizel dan Omarama kerana semua tempat ni berdekatan dengan Lake Tekapo..

Then, lepas settle semua aktiviti dan masuk hari ketiga, perjalanan diteruskan ke Queenstown, mengambil masa selama 3 jam untuk sampai ke Queenstown ni n kami akan berada kat sini selama 3 hari 2 malam..

so tempat2 yang menarik dan kami akan lawati is go to Arrowtown, Cromwell, Wanaka and Lake Wakatipu..

dah habiskan aktiviti kat Queenstown ni, hari yang ke3, perjalanan diteruskan lagi ke END ROAD yang kami pilih, Te Anau, perjalanan mengambil masa selama 2 jam lebih, akan berada di Te Anau ni selama 2 hari 1 malam..reason kenapa pilih Te Anau ni sebagai End Road kami ni sebabnya nak ride on Cruise kat Milford Sound nanti..

So Te Anau ni is our End destination..akan berpatah balik ke Queenstown, dan tidak akan dilupakan ialah set pengambaran The Lord Of The Ring..insyaAllah kalau ade mase dan memang ade jodoh dapat pegi tengok, sampailah kami kat tempat Movie set dia ni..Then terus ke Lake Tekapo balik n last to our start point..The End (^___^)

So this is the view from the narrow gravel road to Cowcliffs Hill. From there you can see the place on the Kawarau River Gorge where they had the set for the Pillars of Kings. The two pillars were added digitally, so do not expect more than the lovely turquoise blue colour of the river

Map kat atas ni menunjukkan Road trip yang sama jugak..this is option 2, yang membezakan ialah from Te Anau will stop at Queenstown, ambik local flight and terbang ke Christchurch balik.

So ni dia perbelanjaan ataupun kos (kira secara kasar) kat sana nanti..kos keseluruhan untuk penginapan for 10 days = Rm 859.96 'Seorang' x 2 (my wife)

= Rm 1719.92

Kos untuk kereta sewa for 10 days = Nzd 122.5 ~ Rm 303.8 'Seorang' x 2 (my wife)

= Rm 607.6

Kos Insurance kereta for 10 days = Nzd 25 ~ Rm 62.00 'Seorang' x 2 (my wife)

= Rm 124.00

Kos petrol for 10 days = Nzd 128.75 ~ Rm 319.3 'Seorang' x 2 (my wife)

= Rm 638.6

Jumlah keseluruhan untuk my family = Rm 3090.12 tak termasuk duit makan, duit shopping dan ticket local flight kt Queenstown.
